Updated Sun., April 18, 2021,
As of this evening, Monday, April 19, 2021, Mumia has not yet been able to call his wife Wadiya Jamal. We were told that he was in surgery during the afternoon. As soon as we learn anything we will update https://jamaljournal.blogspot.com/.
Today, Saturday, April 17, 2021, Mumia called his wife Wadiya Jamal and told her that he is scheduled to have open-heart surgery to unclog three arteries on Monday, April 19, 2021. Please check back for further updates.
As Attorney Bob Boyle said, PA DOC only began responding to his phone calls and emails after people began calling. Dr. Alvarez reported that he has received absolutely no response from anyone and has not been able to speak with any medical personnel about Mumia’s condition. Mumia was able to speak to his wife, Wadiya Jamal, on the morning of Thursday, April 15, 2021, and reveal that exploratory procedures have been done and revealed three blocked arteries — one at 89%.
Mumia is not out of danger. He is STILL SHACKLED! Call for the shackles to come off; they are medically dangerous and illegal in federal prisons (Mumia is in state prison). Demand the surgeon speaks to Mumia’s doctor of choice, Dr. Ricardo Alvarez. Lastly, Mumia can’t get good care in prison. Freedom is the only treatment. Free Mumia!
So we need to continue to call, fax, email and tweet:
